According to the most recent Ewing CDP Virginia demographics data available from the United States Census Bureau released in the American Community Survey in March of 2022, Figure 1 Ewing CDP shows it has a Population 2020 of 152 which is the smallest in order of population of all the other places in the area. The place with the highest population in the area is Harrogate which depicts a population of 4,334 ( very much bigger). Figure 3 uses the Ewing CDP population data for a comparison of the population growth/population change estimates from the years 2010 to 2020 and Ewing CDP Virginia depicts a decline of 287 (65%).
The total Ewing CDP Virginia greater area population percent change for all areas for the years from 2010 to 2020 is shown in Figure 4 and for Ewing CDP depicts it has a Population Change of -65.4% which is the smallest when ranked by population percent change of all the other places in the local area.
Looking at the Ewing CDP population density (measured as people per square mile) and providing comparisons to both the national and state average population density in Figure 5, Ewing CDP Virginia shows it has 40 people per square mile which is the smallest when ranked by population density of all the other places in the local area. The next higher when sorted by population density is South Wallins CDP approximately 3.6 times bigger with population density of 144. The place with the highest population density in the area is Coldiron CDP which depicts a people per square mile of 2,159 ( substantially bigger). Figure 6 provides Ewing CDP demographics for the overall median age for all people in the region and Ewing CDP shows it has a Median Age of 52.1 which is the largest of all places in the greater Ewing CDP region.
The next demographic analysis (Figure 8) looks at large generational Ewing CDP population groups (and can be useful internet research for employment related research or identifying areas with retirees). Key findings in this chart includes that Ewing CDP Virginia has the largest proportion of people between 40 and 49 years old at 78.3% of the total and is ranked #1. Figure 11 compares the ratio of the amount of men to the amount of women and shows total male population about 17.1% smaller as the total female population.

Figure 12 shows the detailed marriage characteristics broken down by %residents who are married, never married, single, divorced, and widowed. Ewing CDP has the percentage of total percent married less than most other places in the surrounding region at 22% of the total. Second, it has the largest proportion of percent divorced at 35% of the total and is ranked #1. Figure 14 compares the average household size using the average number of people in a family for Ewing CDP households. Ewing CDP depicts it has a Family Size of 2.7 which is the second smallest in terms of average family size of all the other places in the local area. The place with the highest average family size in the area is Rose Hill CDP-Lee County which depicts an average family size of 4.0 (48.2% larger).
Figure 15 shows the overall ratio of Ewing CDP households for families to the total number of Ewing CDP households and that Ewing CDP depicts it has a Families of 41% which is the smallest in terms of percent of people who are in a family of all the other places in the local area. The place with the highest percent of people who are in a family in the area is Coldiron CDP which depicts a families percent of 100% (approximately 2.4 times bigger).
Looking at Ewing CDP households that are headed by a husband and wife as a percent of all families in Figure 16, Ewing CDP depicts it has a Married-couple family of 100% which is the largest of all places in the greater Ewing CDP region.

The next set of demographic data looks at the marital status for Ewing CDP households which is useful for internet research. Figure 28 compares the total number of single people in each area. Ewing CDP depicts it has a Total Single People of 57% which is the second most percent single people of all the places in the greater Ewing CDP region. The place with the highest percent of people who are single for any reason in the area is Rose Hill CDP-Lee County which shows a percent single of 64% (12.8% larger). Comparing percent of people who are single for any reason to the United States average of 50%, Ewing CDP is 13.1% larger. Also, benchmarked against the state of Virginia, percent of people who are single for any reason of 48%, Ewing CDP is 17.5% larger.
Figure 30 compares the single people in each area broken down by never married, divorced, and widowed. Ewing CDP Virginia has the largest proportion of percent divorced at 35% of the total and is ranked #1. Figure 32 shows the number of single women adults in each area broken out by never married, divorced and widowed. Ewing CDP Virginia has the largest proportion of women who are divorced at 65% of the total and is ranked #1.
Figure 34 shows the Ewing CDP population data for the ratio of the number of single women between the age of 18 and 65, in each area, broken down by age group for the Ewing CDP metro area. Ewing CDP Virginia has the largest proportion of single women 45 to 49 at 100% of the total and is ranked #1.

The next chart (Figure 36) shows for all citizens what the original place of birth was for people who were born in a foreign country and it has one of the largest proportions of birthplace in the Midwest at 46% of the total and is ranked #3. Only #2 Rose Hill CDP-Lee County (50%), and #1 Harrogate (54%) are larger.
Cities marked with an asterisk ("*") should resemble a city or town but do not have their own government (i.e. Mayor, City Council, etc.) These places should be recognizable by the local community but their boundaries have no legal status.
