According to the most recent Riceville CDP Tennessee demographics data available from the 2022 Census Bureau released in the American Community Survey in November of 2022, Figure 1 Riceville CDP depicts it has a Population 2021 of 1,041 which is less than most other places in the metropolitan area. The place with the highest population in the area is Athens which depicts a population of 13,961 ( markedly bigger). Figure 3 uses the Riceville CDP population data for a comparison of the population growth/population change estimates from the years 2010 to 2021 and Riceville CDP Tennessee shows an increase of 371 (55%).
The total Riceville CDP Tennessee greater area population percent change for all areas for the years from 2010 to 2021 is shown in Figure 4 and for Riceville CDP shows it has a Population Change of 55.4% which is more than all other places in the greater Riceville CDP region.
Looking at the Riceville CDP population density (measured as people per square mile) and providing comparisons to both the national and state average population density in Figure 5, Riceville CDP Tennessee depicts it has 478 people per square mile which is the smallest when ranked by population density of all the other places in the local area. The next higher when ranked by population density is Calhoun about the same size with population density of 482. The place with the highest population density in the area is Etowah which depicts a people per square mile of 1,223 (approximately 2.6 times bigger). Figure 6 provides Riceville CDP demographics for the overall median age for all people in the region and Riceville CDP depicts it has a Median Age of 39.2 which is the smallest in order of overall median age of all people of all the other places in the local area. The place with the highest overall median age of all people in the area is Calhoun which shows an age of 53.4 (36.2% larger).
The next demographic analysis (Figure 7) looks at large generational Riceville CDP population groups (and can be useful internet research for employment related research or identifying areas with retirees). Key findings in this chart includes that Riceville CDP Tennessee has the largest proportion of people between 30 and 39 years old at 18.8% of the total and is ranked #1. Second, it has the smallest proportion of people between 40 and 49 years old at 10.2% of the total. Third, it has the smallest proportion of people between 60 and 69 years old at 2.8% of the total.
Figure 8 illustrates the overall diversity breakdown for Riceville CDP population and ethnicity groups in the area. (note: Hispanic/Latino is broken out separately in the next diagram and also the group denoted as Native ethnicity includes Native American, and Hawaiian and Other Pacific Islander.) Riceville CDP Tennessee has the largest proportion of Black population at 5.7% of the total and is ranked #1.

Figure 10 shows the detailed marriage characteristics broken down by %residents who are married, never married, single, divorced, and widowed. Riceville CDP has the largest proportion of total percent married at 33% of the total and is ranked #1. Second, it has the smallest proportion of percent divorced at 3% of the total. Figure 11 compares the average household size using the average number of people in a family for Riceville CDP households. Riceville CDP shows it has a Family Size of 3.4 which is the most of all places in the metro area.
Looking at Riceville CDP households that are headed by a husband and wife as a percent of all families in Figure 12, Riceville CDP depicts it has a Married-couple family of 69% which is less than most other places in the metro area. The place with the highest percent of people in a husband and wife family in the area is Charleston which shows a husband and wife family percent of 79% (14.6% larger).
The next set of demographic data looks at the marital status for Riceville CDP households which is useful for internet research. Figure 16 compares the total number of single people in each area. Riceville CDP depicts it has a Total Single People of 56% which is the second most percent single people of all the places in the greater Riceville CDP region. The place with the highest percent of people who are single for any reason in the area is Athens which shows a percent single of 58% (only about 3.8% larger). Comparing percent of people who are single for any reason to the United States average of 50%, Riceville CDP is 12.1% larger. Also, in contrast to the state of Tennessee, percent of people who are single for any reason of 49%, Riceville CDP is 14.3% larger.
