According to the most recent Yamhill County Oregon demographics data available from the 2022 Census Bureau released in the American Community Survey in November of 2022, Figure 1 Yamhill County depicts it has a Population 2021 of 107,024 which is in the mid range of other counties in the surrounding region. The county with the highest population in the area is Multnomah County which shows a population of 810,011 ( very much bigger). Figure 3 uses the Yamhill County population data for a comparison of the population growth/population change estimates from the years 2010 to 2021 and Yamhill County Oregon depicts an increase of 7,831 (8%).
The total Yamhill County Oregon greater area population percent change for all areas for the years from 2010 to 2021 is shown in Figure 4 and for Yamhill County shows it has a Population Change of 7.9% which is less than most other counties in the greater region.
Looking at the Yamhill County population density (measured as people per square mile) and providing comparisons to both the national and state average population density in Figure 5, Yamhill County Oregon shows it has 150 people per square mile which is in the mid range of other counties in the greater region. The next higher in order of population density is Marion County about twice as large with population density of 291. The county with the highest population density in the area is Multnomah County which depicts a people per square mile of 1,879 ( substantially bigger). Figure 6 provides Yamhill County demographics for the overall median age for all people in the region and Yamhill County depicts it has a Median Age of 39.1 which is the third most median age of all other counties in the greater Yamhill County region. The county with the highest overall median age of all people in the area is Tillamook County which depicts an age of 47.7 (22.0% larger). Figure 9 shows the Yamhill County Oregon Hispanic (including non Hispanic whites) population household ethnicity in the region and Yamhill County shows it has a Hispanic or Latino of 16.3% which is the third most Hispanic Population of all other counties in the greater Yamhill County region.

Figure 11 compares the average household size using the average number of people in a family for Yamhill County households. Yamhill County shows it has a Family Size of 3.2 which is in the mid range of other counties in the greater region. The county with the highest average family size in the area is Marion County which depicts an average family size of 3.4 (7.2% larger).
Looking at Yamhill County households that are headed by a husband and wife as a percent of all families in Figure 12, Yamhill County depicts it has a Married-couple family of 77% which is in the mid range of other counties in the greater region. The county with the highest percent of people in a husband and wife family in the area is Washington County which depicts a husband and wife family percent of 79% (only about 2.9% larger).
The next section of charts provide a detailed look at mothers and baby births that occurred over the past 12 months. Figure 13 shows the rate of women aged 15 to 50 years old who have given birth. Yamhill County depicts it has a Birth Rate of 6.2% which is the second most percent of women who have given birth of all the counties in the greater Yamhill County region. The county with the highest percent of women who gave birth in the area is Tillamook County which depicts a birth rate of 8.6% (39.6% larger). Figure 14 shows the breakdown of the mother's age for all baby births that occurred in the last 12 months and has the smallest proportion of percent of births to mothers aged 25 to 29 at 21% of the total. Second, it has the largest proportion of percent of births to mothers aged 40 to 44 at 6% of the total and is ranked #1.
The next set of demographic data looks at the marital status for Yamhill County households which is useful for internet research. Figure 16 compares the total number of single people in each area. Yamhill County depicts it has a Total Single People of 47% which is in the mid point range of other counties in the area. The county with the highest percent of people who are single for any reason in the area is Multnomah County which depicts a percent single of 56% (18.8% larger). Comparing percent of people who are single for any reason to the United States average of 50%, Yamhill County is about 6.0% smaller. Also, measured against the state of Oregon, percent of people who are single for any reason of 49%, Yamhill County is only about 4.5% smaller.
