Great Neck Plaza New York Population Charts

According to the most recent Great Neck Plaza New York demographics data available from the United States Census Bureau released in the American Community Survey in March of 2022, Figure 1 Great Neck Plaza depicts it has a Population 2020 of 6,980 which is the most of all places in the greater Great Neck Plaza region. The next section of charts provide a detailed look at mothers and baby births that occurred over the past 12 months. Figure 18 shows the rate of women aged 15 to 50 years old who have given birth. Third, it has in the middle range of other places in the local area when ranked by percent of births to mothers aged 30 to 34 at 38% of the total.

Great Neck Plaza New York Marital Status Charts

The next set of demographic data looks at the marital status for Great Neck Plaza households which is useful for internet research. Figure 28 compares the total number of single people in each area. The next chart (Figure 36) shows for all citizens what the original place of birth was for people who were born in a foreign country and it has the largest proportion of birthplace in this state at 5% of the total and is ranked #1.

In Figure 37, the demographic percentage of Great Neck Plaza residents who were not born in the United States is shown (i.e. percent foreign born.) Great Neck Plaza depicts it has a Percent Foreign Born of 32.6% which is less than most other places in the local area. The city with the highest percent of population who was born in another country in the area is Great Neck Gardens CDP which depicts a percent born outside United States of 36.6% (12.2% larger). Comparing percent of population who was born in another country to the United States average of 13.5%, Great Neck Plaza is approximately 2.4 times bigger. The only larger city being University Gardens CDP with 45%. Second, it has less than most other places in the area in terms of non citizens who entered the US between 1990 to 1999 at 5% of the total. Third, it has the largest proportion of non citizens who entered the US before 1990 at 13% of the total and is ranked #1.

For all foreign born people who have gone through naturalization (the process of becoming a legal U.S. resident citizen), Figure 42 shows the year when they became fully naturalized U.S. citizens. it has one of the largest proportions of people naturalized 2015 or later at 15% of the total and is ranked #2. The only larger city being Kensington with 18%. Second, it has one of the largest proportions of people naturalized 2010 to 2014 at 15% of the total and is ranked #3. Only #2 Russell Gardens (16%), and #1 Thomaston (25%) are larger. Third, it has the second smallest in order of percent of people naturalized 2015 or later of all the other places in the greater region as measured by people naturalized 2005 to 2009 at 7% of the total. Also, it has the second smallest when ranked by percent of people naturalized 2015 or later of all the other places in the greater region as measured by people naturalized 1995 to 1999 at 5% of the total. In addition, it has the smallest proportion of people naturalized 1990 to 1994 at 5% of the total. Furthermore, it has one of the largest proportions of people naturalized before 1990 at 39% of the total and is ranked #2. The only larger city being Great Neck Gardens CDP with 52%.
