According to the most recent Arcola Missouri demographics data available from the United States Census Bureau released in the American Community Survey in December of 2020, Figure 1 Arcola shows it has a Population 2019 of 87 which is the second smallest in terms of population of all the other places in the local area. The city with the highest population in the area is Stockton which shows a population of 1,836 ( substantially bigger). Figure 3 uses the Arcola population data for a comparison of the population growth/population change estimates from the years 2010 to 2019 and Arcola Missouri depicts an increase of 32 (58%).
The total Arcola Missouri greater area population percent change for all areas for the years from 2010 to 2019 is shown in Figure 4 and for Arcola depicts it has a Population Change of 58.2% which is at the top of all other places in the greater Arcola region.
Looking at the Arcola population density (measured as people per square mile) and providing comparisons to both the national and state average population density in Figure 5, Arcola Missouri depicts it has 294 people per square mile which is the second smallest when sorted by population density of all the other places in the metropolitan area. The next higher in order of population density is Jerico Springs 17.5% larger with population density of 345. The city with the highest population density in the area is Greenfield which depicts a people per square mile of 1,346 (approximately 4.6 times bigger). Figure 6 provides Arcola demographics for the overall median age for all people in the region and Arcola depicts it has a Median Age of 47.5 which is the second most median age of all the places in the greater Arcola region. The city with the highest overall median age of all people in the area is Umber View Heights which depicts an age of 53.9 (13.5% larger). The Arcola Missouri population data for median age broken out by gender for both men versus the median age of women is shown in Figure 7. Arcola Missouri depicts a median age of men about 7.9% smaller as the median age of women.
The next demographic analysis (Figure 8) looks at large generational Arcola population groups (and can be useful internet research for employment related research or identifying areas with retirees). Key findings in this chart includes that Arcola Missouri has one of the largest proportions of people less than 20 years of age at 17.2% of the total and is ranked #2. The only larger city being Dadeville with 21.6%. Second, it has the smallest proportion of people between 20 and 29 years old at 3.4% of the total. Third, it has the largest proportion of people between 30 and 39 years old at 20.7% of the total and is ranked #1. Also, it has the smallest proportion of people between 40 and 49 years old at 6.9% of the total. In addition, it has the largest proportion of people between 50 and 59 yeasr old at 34.5% of the total and is ranked #1. Figure 11 compares the ratio of the amount of men to the amount of women and depicts total male population 12.2% larger as the total female population.

Figure 12 shows the detailed marriage characteristics broken down by %residents who are married, never married, single, divorced, and widowed. Arcola has the percentage of total percent married the second smallest when ranked by total percent of people married of all the other places in the local area at 15% of the total. Second, it has the smallest proportion of never married percent at 2% of the total. Figure 14 compares the average household size using the average number of people in a family for Arcola households. Arcola depicts it has a Family Size of 2.4 which is the smallest when sorted by average family size of all the other places in the metropolitan area. The city with the highest average family size in the area is Jerico Springs which depicts an average family size of 3.3 (36.0% larger).
Figure 15 shows the overall ratio of Arcola households for families to the total number of Arcola households and that Arcola shows it has a Families of 95% which is ranked #1 of all places in the local area.
Looking at Arcola households that are headed by a husband and wife as a percent of all families in Figure 16, Arcola depicts it has a Married-couple family of 97% which is the highest of all places in the greater Arcola region. Figure 17 shows Arcola demographics for the head of household for each place using a breakdown of married-couple, male-headed alone, and female-headed alone. Arcola Missouri has the percentage of households the second smallest when ranked by percent of families in husband and wife household of all the other places in the local area at 2.9% of the total.

The next set of demographic data looks at the marital status for Arcola households which is useful for internet research. Figure 28 compares the total number of single people in each area. Arcola depicts it has a Total Single People of 17% which is the smallest in order of percent of people who are single for any reason of all the other places in the surrounding region. The city with the highest percent of people who are single for any reason in the area is Jerico Springs which depicts a percent single of 54% (approximately 3.2 times bigger). Comparing percent of people who are single for any reason to the United States average of 50%, Arcola is approximately a third the size. Also, measured against the state of Missouri, percent of people who are single for any reason of 49%, Arcola is approximately a third the size.
Figure 30 compares the single people in each area broken down by never married, divorced, and widowed. Arcola Missouri has the smallest proportion of percent never married at 2% of the total. Figure 31 shows the demographics for the number of single men adults in each area broken out by never married, divorced and widowed. Arcola Missouri has the percentage of men who have never been married the second smallest in terms of percent of men who have never been married of all the other places in the greater region at 5% of the total.
Figure 33 shows the Arcola demographics for the ratio of the number of single men between the age of 18 and 65, in each area, broken down by age group for the Arcola metro area. Arcola Missouri has the largest proportion of single men 35 to 39 at 50% of the total and is ranked #1. Second, it has the largest proportion of single men 50 to 60 at 50% of the total and is ranked #1.

The next chart (Figure 36) shows for all citizens what the original place of birth was for people who were born in a foreign country and it has the largest proportion of birthplace in this state at 9% of the total and is ranked #1. Second, it has the smallest proportion of birthplace in the South at 1% of the total.
