According to the most recent Whipholt CDP Minnesota demographics data available from the 2022 Census Bureau released in the American Community Survey in November of 2022, Figure 1 Whipholt CDP shows it has a Population 2021 of 73 which is the smallest in order of population of all the other places in the local area. The place with the highest population in the area is Walker which shows a population of 949 ( quite a bit bigger). Figure 3 uses the Whipholt CDP population data for a comparison of the population growth/population change estimates from the years 2010 to 2021 and Whipholt CDP Minnesota shows a decline of 26 (26%).
The total Whipholt CDP Minnesota greater area population percent change for all areas for the years from 2010 to 2021 is shown in Figure 4 and for Whipholt CDP shows it has a Population Change of -26.3% which is the smallest as measured by population percent change of all the other places in the local area.
Looking at the Whipholt CDP population density (measured as people per square mile) and providing comparisons to both the national and state average population density in Figure 5, Whipholt CDP Minnesota shows it has 22 people per square mile which is the smallest when ranked by population density of all the other places in the local area. The next higher when sorted by population density is Federal Dam approximately 2.7 times bigger with population density of 61. The place with the highest population density in the area is Backus which indicates a people per square mile of 520 ( considerably bigger). Figure 6 provides Whipholt CDP demographics for the overall median age for all people in the region and Whipholt CDP depicts it has a Median Age of 56.8 which is the second most of all the places in the greater region. The place with the highest overall median age of all people in the area is Longville which shows an age of 69.1 (21.7% larger).
The next demographic analysis (Figure 7) looks at large generational Whipholt CDP population groups (and can be useful internet research for employment related research or identifying areas with retirees). Key findings in this chart includes that Whipholt CDP Minnesota has the percentage of people between 20 and 29 years old the second smallest when ranked by people less than 20 years of age of all the other places in the metropolitan area at 2.7% of the total. Second, it has the largest proportion of people between 40 and 49 years old at 19.2% of the total and is ranked #1. Third, it has one of the largest proportions of people between 60 and 69 years old at 28.8% of the total and is ranked #2. The only larger place being Longville with 47.4%.
Whipholt CDP Minnesota Families and Marital Status Charts
Figure 10 shows the detailed marriage characteristics broken down by %residents who are married, never married, single, divorced, and widowed. Whipholt CDP has the smallest proportion of total percent married at 2% of the total. Figure 11 compares the average household size using the average number of people in a family for Whipholt CDP households. Whipholt CDP depicts it has a Family Size of 2.8 which is the second smallest when sorted by average family size of all the other places in the greater region. The place with the highest average family size in the area is Federal Dam which depicts an average family size of 3.9 (41.2% larger).
Looking at Whipholt CDP households that are headed by a husband and wife as a percent of all families in Figure 12, Whipholt CDP shows it has a Married-couple family of 71% which is the third most husband and wife family percent of all other places in the greater Whipholt CDP region. The place with the highest percent of people in a husband and wife family in the area is Longville which depicts a husband and wife family percent of 100% (40.0% larger).
The next set of demographic data looks at the marital status for Whipholt CDP households which is useful for internet research. Figure 16 compares the total number of single people in each area. Whipholt CDP depicts it has a Total Single People of 33% which is the smallest in terms of percent of people who are single for any reason of all the other places in the surrounding region. The place with the highest percent of people who are single for any reason in the area is Walker which depicts a percent single of 73% (about twice as large). Comparing percent of people who are single for any reason to the United States average of 50%, Whipholt CDP is approximately three-fourths the size. Also, measured against the state of Minnesota, percent of people who are single for any reason of 48%, Whipholt CDP is approximately three-fourths the size.
