According to the most recent ZIP code 61423 Illinois demographics data available from the 2022 Census Bureau released in the American Community Survey in November of 2022, Figure 1 ZIP code 61423 shows it has a Population 2021 of 660 which is in the mid range of other zip codes in the greater region. The zip code with the highest population in the area is 61401 which depicts a population of 30,968 ( very much bigger). Figure 3 uses the ZIP code 61423 population data for a comparison of the population growth/population change estimates from the years 2010 to 2021 and 61423 Illinois depicts a decline of 22 (3%).

The next demographic analysis (Figure 7) looks at large generational ZIP code 61423 population groups (and can be useful internet research for employment related research or identifying areas with retirees). Key findings in this chart includes that 61423 Illinois has the largest proportion of people less than 20 years of age at 23.3% of the total and is ranked #1. Second, it has one of the largest proportions of people between 30 and 39 years old at 18.0% of the total and is ranked #2. The only larger zip code being 61417 with 19.5%. Third, it has the smallest proportion of people between 40 and 49 years old at 9.7% of the total. Figure 9 shows the ZIP code 61423 Illinois Hispanic (including non Hispanic whites) population household ethnicity in the region and 61423 shows it has a Hispanic or Latino of 0.8% which is less than most other zip codes in the metro area.

ZIP code 61423 has the smallest proportion of total percent married at 20% of the total. The next set of demographic data looks at the marital status for ZIP code 61423 households which is useful for internet research. Figure 16 compares the total number of single people in each area. 61423 depicts it has a Total Single People of 42% which is the second smallest when ranked by percent of people who are single for any reason of all the other zip codes in the metro area. The zip code with the highest percent of people who are single for any reason in the area is 61401 which shows a percent single of 59% (39.2% larger). Comparing percent of people who are single for any reason to the United States average of 50%, ZIP code 61423 is about 19.2% smaller. Also, measured against the state of Illinois, percent of people who are single for any reason of 51%, ZIP code 61423 is about 21.2% smaller.
