According to the most recent ZIP code 96770 Hawaii demographics data available from the 2022 Census Bureau released in the American Community Survey in November of 2022, Figure 1 ZIP code 96770 shows it has a Population 2021 of 435 which is the smallest in terms of population of all the other zip codes in the greater region. The zip code with the highest population in the area is 96825 which depicts a population of 30,621 ( very much bigger). Figure 3 uses the ZIP code 96770 population data for a comparison of the population growth/population change estimates from the years 2010 to 2021 and 96770 Hawaii depicts a decline of 256 (37%).

Figure 6 provides ZIP code 96770 demographics for the overall median age for all people in the region and 96770 shows it has a Median Age of 55.1 which is more than all other zip codes in the greater region.
The next demographic analysis (Figure 7) looks at large generational ZIP code 96770 population groups (and can be useful internet research for employment related research or identifying areas with retirees). Key findings in this chart includes that 96770 Hawaii has the smallest proportion of people between 20 and 29 years old at 6.7% of the total. Second, it has the smallest proportion of people between 30 and 39 years old at 3.2% of the total. Third, it has the largest proportion of people between 60 and 69 years old at 29.0% of the total and is ranked #1.
Figure 8 illustrates the overall diversity breakdown for ZIP code 96770 population and ethnicity groups in the area. (note: Hispanic/Latino is broken out separately in the next diagram and also the group denoted as Native ethnicity includes Native American, and Hawaiian and Other Pacific Islander.) 96770 Hawaii has the smallest proportion of Black population at 2.5% of the total. Second, it has one of the largest proportions of Asian population at 51.0% of the total and is ranked #2. The only larger zip code being 96729 with 76.6%. Third, it has the smallest proportion of Native population at 13.6% of the total. Figure 10 shows the detailed marriage characteristics broken down by %residents who are married, never married, single, divorced, and widowed. ZIP code 96770 has the smallest proportion of percent divorced at 4% of the total. Figure 11 compares the average household size using the average number of people in a family for ZIP code 96770 households. 96770 depicts it has a Family Size of 3.3 which is the second smallest in order of average family size of all the other zip codes in the local area. The zip code with the highest average family size in the area is 96795 which depicts an average family size of 5.0 (50.4% larger).

The next section of charts provide a detailed look at mothers and baby births that occurred over the past 12 months. Figure 13 shows the rate of women aged 15 to 50 years old who have given birth. 96770 depicts it has a Birth Rate of 7.7% which is the second most percent of women who have given birth of all the zip codes in the greater ZIP code 96770 region. The zip code with the highest percent of women who gave birth in the area is 96757 which shows a birth rate of 11.5% (50.0% larger). Figure 14 shows the breakdown of the mother's age for all baby births that occurred in the last 12 months and it has the largest proportion of percent of births to mothers aged 25 to 29 at 100% of the total and is ranked #1.
The next set of demographic data looks at the marital status for ZIP code 96770 households which is useful for internet research. Figure 16 compares the total number of single people in each area. 96770 depicts it has a Total Single People of 45% which is less than most other zip codes in the metro area. The zip code with the highest percent of people who are single for any reason in the area is 96748 which shows a percent single of 58% (30.1% larger). Comparing percent of people who are single for any reason to the United States average of 50%, ZIP code 96770 is about 12.4% smaller. Also, compared to the state of Hawaii, percent of people who are single for any reason of 49%, ZIP code 96770 is about 10.0% smaller.
