According to the most recent Fleming Island CDP Florida demographics data available from the 2022 Census Bureau released in the American Community Survey in November of 2022, Figure 1 Fleming Island CDP depicts it has a Population 2021 of 29,505 which is the third most populous of all other places in the greater Fleming Island CDP region. The place with the highest population in the area is Fruit Cove CDP which depicts a population of 34,469 (16.8% larger). Figure 3 uses the Fleming Island CDP population data for a comparison of the population growth/population change estimates from the years 2010 to 2021 and Fleming Island CDP Florida shows an increase of 2,379 (9%).
The total Fleming Island CDP Florida greater area population percent change for all areas for the years from 2010 to 2021 is shown in Figure 4 and for Fleming Island CDP depicts it has a Population Change of 8.8% which is in the middle range of other places in the metro area.
Looking at the Fleming Island CDP population density (measured as people per square mile) and providing comparisons to both the national and state average population density in Figure 5, Fleming Island CDP Florida shows it has 1,863 people per square mile which is less than most other places in the surrounding region. The next higher when sorted by population density is Fruit Cove CDP 15.0% larger with population density of 2,143. The place with the highest population density in the area is Bellair-Meadowbrook Terrace CDP which depicts a people per square mile of 3,408 (about twice as large). Figure 6 provides Fleming Island CDP demographics for the overall median age for all people in the region and Fleming Island CDP shows it has a Median Age of 46.1 which is the highest of all places in the surrounding region.
The next demographic analysis (Figure 7) looks at large generational Fleming Island CDP population groups (and can be useful internet research for employment related research or identifying areas with retirees). Key findings in this chart includes that Fleming Island CDP Florida has the largest proportion of people between 50 and 59 yeasr old at 15.2% of the total and is ranked #1.
Figure 8 illustrates the overall diversity breakdown for Fleming Island CDP population and ethnicity groups in the area. (note: Hispanic/Latino is broken out separately in the next diagram and also the group denoted as Native ethnicity includes Native American, and Hawaiian and Other Pacific Islander.) Fleming Island CDP Florida has the smallest proportion of White population at 5.3% of the total. Figure 9 shows the Fleming Island CDP Florida Hispanic (including non Hispanic whites) population household ethnicity in the region and Fleming Island CDP depicts it has a Hispanic or Latino of 9.8% which is less than most other places in the area.

Figure 11 compares the average household size using the average number of people in a family for Fleming Island CDP households. Fleming Island CDP shows it has a Family Size of 3.0 which is the smallest when ranked by average family size of all the other places in the local area. The place with the highest average family size in the area is Fruit Cove CDP which depicts an average family size of 3.4 (11.6% larger).
Looking at Fleming Island CDP households that are headed by a husband and wife as a percent of all families in Figure 12, Fleming Island CDP shows it has a Married-couple family of 88% which is the second most husband and wife family percent of all the places in the greater Fleming Island CDP region. The place with the highest percent of people in a husband and wife family in the area is Asbury Lake CDP which depicts a husband and wife family percent of 89% ( about the same size).
The next section of charts provide a detailed look at mothers and baby births that occurred over the past 12 months. Figure 13 shows the rate of women aged 15 to 50 years old who have given birth. Fleming Island CDP depicts it has a Birth Rate of 2.7% which is the smallest when sorted by percent of women who gave birth of all the other places in the metro area. The place with the highest percent of women who gave birth in the area is Orange Park which shows a birth rate of 13.6% (approximately 5.0 times bigger). Figure 14 shows the breakdown of the mother's age for all baby births that occurred in the last 12 months and it has one of the largest proportions of percent of births to mothers aged 20 to 24 at 40% of the total and is ranked #3. Only #2 Lakeside CDP (52%), and #1 Green Cove Springs (56%) are larger. Second, it has the smallest proportion of percent of births to mothers aged 25 to 29 at 21% of the total. Third, it has one of the largest proportions of percent of births to mothers aged 35 to 39 at 40% of the total and is ranked #2. The only larger place being Asbury Lake CDP with 68%.
The next set of demographic data looks at the marital status for Fleming Island CDP households which is useful for internet research. Figure 16 compares the total number of single people in each area. Fleming Island CDP depicts it has a Total Single People of 33% which is the smallest in order of percent of people who are single for any reason of all the other places in the local area. The place with the highest percent of people who are single for any reason in the area is Bellair-Meadowbrook Terrace CDP which depicts a percent single of 55% (65.4% larger). Comparing percent of people who are single for any reason to the United States average of 50%, Fleming Island CDP is approximately three-fourths the size. Also, compared to the state of Florida, percent of people who are single for any reason of 51%, Fleming Island CDP is approximately three-fourths the size.

The next diagram (Figure 18) shows the year of entry that non citizens entered the United States. The year of entry can show the rate of flow at various points of time in the past for when they entered the U.S. has the percentage of non citizens who entered the US between 2000 to 2009 in the mid range of other places in the surrounding region at 17% of the total. Second, it has the largest proportion of non citizens who entered the US between 1990 to 1999 at 26% of the total and is ranked #1. Third, it has in the middle range of other places in the area as measured by non citizens who entered the US before 1990 at 3% of the total.
