The next demographic analysis (Figure 7) looks at large generational ZIP code 99678 population groups (and can be useful internet research for employment related research or identifying areas with retirees). Key findings in this chart includes that 99678 Alaska has the smallest proportion of people between 50 and 59 yeasr old at 6.1% of the total. Second, it has the largest proportion of people between 60 and 69 years old at 12.0% of the total and is ranked #1.
Figure 8 illustrates the overall diversity breakdown for ZIP code 99678 population and ethnicity groups in the area. (note: Hispanic/Latino is broken out separately in the next diagram and also the group denoted as Native ethnicity includes Native American, and Hawaiian and Other Pacific Islander.) 99678 Alaska has one of the largest proportions of Asian population at 87.3% of the total and is ranked #3. The next section of charts provide a detailed look at mothers and baby births that occurred over the past 12 months. Figure 13 shows the rate of women aged 15 to 50 years old who have given birth. 99678 shows it has a Birth Rate of 9.0% which is the third most percent of women who have given birth of all other zip codes in the greater ZIP code 99678 region. The zip code with the highest percent of women who gave birth in the area is 99589 which shows a birth rate of 18.8% (about twice as large). Figure 14 shows the breakdown of the mother's age for all baby births that occurred in the last 12 months and it has one of the largest proportions of percent of births to mothers aged 15 to 19 at 33% of the total and is ranked #2. The only larger zip code being 99628 with 50%. Second, it has one of the largest proportions of percent of births to mothers aged 30 to 34 at 33% of the total and is ranked #2. The only larger zip code being 99589 with 100%.
The next set of demographic data looks at the marital status for ZIP code 99678 households which is useful for internet research. Figure 16 compares the total number of single people in each area. 99678 shows it has a Total Single People of 61% which is the third most percent single people of all other zip codes in the greater ZIP code 99678 region. The zip code with the highest percent of people who are single for any reason in the area is 99555 which shows a percent single of 73% (20.2% larger). Comparing percent of people who are single for any reason to the United States average of 50%, ZIP code 99678 is 21.7% larger. Also, in comparison with the state of Alaska, percent of people who are single for any reason of 49%, ZIP code 99678 is 25.3% larger.
