Parks township Arkansas Education Attainment Charts

This section of charts contains Education data using using the latest 2018 American Community Survey data. In the first chart, Figure 1 shows the number of people age 25 years or older who have graduated from high school or completed the GED or equivalent credential. The city with the highest Total population enrolled in school in the area is Mount Pleasant township, Scott County, Arkansas with a Total population enrolled in school of 85 is substantially bigger. Figure 23 lists the schools in the area along with the school district and other information. Some of the Area Schools are: Waldron Elementary School, Waldron High School, Waldron Middle School, Oden Maddox Elementary School, and Oden High School. The next illustration in Figure 24 shows the total school enrollment for all grades at the school using NCES Common Core data. Looking at Enrollment for Area Schools we find that Waldron Elementary School ranks the largest with a value of 757 enrolled students. The next largest values are for: Booneville Elementary School (738), Mena High School (587), Waldron Middle School (511), and Waldron High School (446). The difference between the highest value (Waldron Elementary School) and the next highest (Booneville Elementary School) is that the enrolled students is about is only about 2.6% larger.

Figure 25 show the ratio of the number of students to the number of teachers. Good measures are lower because they indicate less students for any one teacher to educate. Looking at Student to Teacher Ratio for Area Schools we find that Oden High School ranks the largest with a value of 9.2 Student to Teacher Ratio. The next largest values are for: J.D. Leftwich High School (10.9), Oden Maddox Elementary School (11.5), Mount Ida High School (11.5), and Mansfield Elementary School (11.6). The difference between the lowest value (Oden High School) and the next lowest (J.D. Leftwich High School) is that the Student to Teacher Ratio is is 18.0% larger.
