Manchester township Arkansas Education Attainment Charts

This section of charts contains Education data using using the latest 2018 American Community Survey data. In the first chart, Figure 1 shows the number of people age 25 years or older who have graduated from high school or completed the GED or equivalent credential. Manchester township illustrates it has 72% percent high school graduates or better which is the 6th in percent high school graduates or better out of 10 total in the area. In terms of advanced education, Figure 6 shows the percentage breakdown of all people who have received a post secondary education, what is the highest level obtained. Manchester township has the largest proportion of percent of people with a Masters degree at 17% of the total and is ranked #1.

The next chart (Figure 8) shows a detailed frequency distribution of the bachelors degrees earned by residents aged 25 years and older. Manchester township has the largest proportion of percent of people with a degree in Computers, Mathematics and Statistics at 18.0% of the total and is ranked #1. Second, it has the largest proportion of percent of people with a degree in Communications at 8.0% of the total and is ranked #1.

The next section of charts looks at school enrollment. Figure 14 shows the overall school enrollment by detailed grade groupings. Manchester township has percent of children in grades 5 to 8 in the center of other places in the area at 31.1% of the total and is ranked in the middle of the group.

Figure 15 shows a comparison of all students in public versus private schools. Manchester township Arkansas has the largest proportion of percent enrolled in private schools at 13% of the total and is ranked #1.

Figure 23 lists the schools in the area along with the school district and other information. Some of the Area Schools are: Sparkman High School, Sparkman Elementary School, Central Primary School, Goza Middle School, and Louisa Perritt Primary. The next illustration in Figure 24 shows the total school enrollment for all grades at the school using NCES Common Core data. Looking at Enrollment for Area Schools we find that Malvern Elementary School ranks the largest with a value of 973 enrolled students. The next largest values are for: Malvern High School (621), Arkadelphia High School (598), Goza Middle School (465), and Louisa Perritt Primary (371). The difference between the highest value (Malvern Elementary School) and the next highest (Malvern High School) is that the enrolled students is about is 56.7% larger.

Figure 25 show the ratio of the number of students to the number of teachers. Good measures are lower because they indicate less students for any one teacher to educate. Looking at Student to Teacher Ratio for Area Schools we find that Sparkman High School ranks the largest with a value of 8.7 Student to Teacher Ratio. The next largest values are for: Bearden High School (9.0), Malvern Junior High School (10.3), Cabe Middle School (10.5), and Ouachita High School (10.7). The difference between the lowest value (Sparkman High School) and the next lowest (Bearden High School) is that the Student to Teacher Ratio is is only about 3.2% larger.
