Lancaster township Arkansas Education Attainment Charts

This section of charts contains Education data using using the latest 2018 American Community Survey data. In the first chart, Figure 1 shows the number of people age 25 years or older who have graduated from high school or completed the GED or equivalent credential. Lancaster township indicates it has 90% percent high school graduates or better which is the 2nd most of all the places in the area. The city with the highest percent high school graduates or better in the area is Dean Springs township with a high school graduates of 90% is about the same size.

The number of people aged 25 years or older who have graduated from college with a Bachelor's degree is shown in Figure 2. Lancaster township shows it has 21% percent with a bachelors degree or higher which is at the top of all other placesin the area.

Figure 4 shows the percentage of people aged 25 years or older who either have no schooling or dropped out of school before completing high school. Lancaster township indicates it has 10% percent who dropped out of school which is the 6th in percent who dropped out of school out of 10 total in the area. The city with the highest percent who dropped out of school in the area is Cedar Creek township with a percent who dropped out of school of 27% is approximately 2.6 times bigger.

Figure 5 shows a pie chart that illustrates the proportion of educational attainment by large categories of achievement. Second, it has the largest proportion of percent of people with a Bachelors degree at 17.4% of the total and is ranked #1.

The next section of charts looks at school enrollment. Figure 14 shows the overall school enrollment by detailed grade groupings. Lancaster township has the largest proportion of percent of children in grades 5 to 8 at 38.8% of the total and is ranked #1.

Figure 23 lists the schools in the area along with the school district and other information. Some of the Area Schools are: Mountainburg Middle School, Mountainburg Elementary School, Mountainburg High School, Alma Intermediate School, and Alma Middle School. The next illustration in Figure 24 shows the total school enrollment for all grades at the school using NCES Common Core data. Looking at Enrollment for Area Schools we find that Van Buren High School ranks the largest with a value of 1,796 enrolled students. The next largest values are for: Alma High School (1,070), Alma Middle School (805), Alma Intermediate School (763), and Northridge Middle School (751). The difference between the highest value (Van Buren High School) and the next highest (Alma High School) is that the enrolled students is about measures 67.9% larger.

Figure 25 show the ratio of the number of students to the number of teachers. Good measures are lower because they indicate less students for any one teacher to educate. Looking at Student to Teacher Ratio for Area Schools we find that Marvin Primary School ranks the largest with a value of 9.8 Student to Teacher Ratio. The next largest values are for: Mulberry High School (10.7), Mountainburg High School (11.3), Cedarville High School (12.6), and Mountainburg Elementary School (12.7). The difference between the lowest value (Marvin Primary School) and the next lowest (Mulberry High School) is that the Student to Teacher Ratio is measures 8.9% larger.
