Higginson township Arkansas Education Attainment Charts

This section of charts contains Education data using using the latest 2018 American Community Survey data. In the first chart, Figure 1 shows the number of people age 25 years or older who have graduated from high school or completed the GED or equivalent credential. Figure 23 lists the schools in the area along with the school district and other information. Some of the Area Schools are: Kensett Elementary School, Sidney Deener Elem. School, Southwest Middle School, Ahlf Junior High School, and Riverview High School. The next illustration in Figure 24 shows the total school enrollment for all grades at the school using NCES Common Core data. Looking at Enrollment for Area Schools we find that Searcy High School ranks the largest with a value of 1,175 enrolled students. The next largest values are for: Southwest Middle School (1,031), Beebe High School (915), Ahlf Junior High School (642), and H.L. Lubker Elementary School (586). The difference between the highest value (Searcy High School) and the next highest (Southwest Middle School) is that the enrolled students is about is 14.0% larger.

Figure 25 show the ratio of the number of students to the number of teachers. Good measures are lower because they indicate less students for any one teacher to educate. Looking at Student to Teacher Ratio for Area Schools we find that Badger Academy ranks the largest with a value of 3.6 Student to Teacher Ratio. The next largest values are for: White Co. Central High School (8.7), Beebe High School (12.8), Bald Knob High School (12.9), and H.L. Lubker Elementary School (13.0). The difference between the lowest value (Badger Academy) and the next lowest (White Co. Central High School) is that the Student to Teacher Ratio is is approximately 2.4 times bigger.
