East End Arkansas Education Attainment Charts

This section of charts contains Education data using using the latest 2018 American Community Survey data. In the first chart, Figure 1 shows the number of people age 25 years or older who have graduated from high school or completed the GED or equivalent credential. East End reveals it has 88% percent high school graduates or better which is the 4th in percent high school graduates or better out of 10 total in the area. The place with the highest percent high school graduates or better in the area is Shannon Hills with a high school graduates of 91% is only about 3.2% larger.

The number of people aged 25 years or older who have graduated from college with a Bachelor's degree is shown in Figure 2. East End shows it has 18% percent with a bachelors degree or higher which is the 4th in percent with a bachelors degree or higher out of 10 total in the area. The place with the highest percent with a bachelors degree or higher in the area is Shannon Hills with a percent with a bachelors degree of 26% is 46.1% larger.

Figure 4 shows the percentage of people aged 25 years or older who either have no schooling or dropped out of school before completing high school. East End indicates it has 12% percent who dropped out of school which is the 4th in percent who dropped out of school out of 10 total in the area. The place with the highest percent who dropped out of school in the area is Woodson with a percent who dropped out of school of 27% is approximately 2.3 times bigger.

In terms of advanced education, Figure 6 shows the percentage breakdown of all people who have received a post secondary education, what is the highest level obtained. East End has the largest proportion of percent of people with a Professional school degree at 14% of the total and is ranked #1.

A detailed frequency distribution of educational attainment is provided in Figure 10 and allows detailed comparison between different attainment categories. East End has the largest proportion of percent of people with a professional school degree (e.g. Law or Medicine) at 4.2% of the total and is ranked #1.

East End Arkansas School Enrollment Charts

Next comparison in Figure 16 shows Kindergarten through 12th grade (K-12) students enrolled in public versus private schools. East End Arkansas has the largest proportion of percent of children enrolled in public K-8 grades at 96% of the total and is ranked #1.

The next charts look at public versus private higher education schools starting with Figure 18. East End Arkansas has percent enrolled in a Public college in the mid range of other places in the area at 96% of the total and is ranked in the middle of the group.

Figure 19 shows for all graduate and professional schools (such as Law or Medical school) and whether students are enrolled in public or private schools. East End Arkansas has the largest proportion of percent enrolled in a Public gradudate or Professional school at 100% of the total and is ranked #1.

The next chart in Figure 20 looks at the total number of students enrolled in each place shown. (Enrollment includes all students from preschool to graduate school.) East End points out it has 2,078 Total population enrolled in school which is the 2nd most of all the places in the area. The place with the highest Total population enrolled in school in the area is Otter township with a Total population enrolled in school of 2,893 is 39.2% larger. Comparing Total population enrolled in school to the United States average of 81,751,797, East End measures only about 0.0% the size. Also, measured against the state of Arkansas, Total population enrolled in school of 741,993, East End is only about 0.3% the size.

In Figure 22, the proportion of children enrolled in public versus private preschools is shown. East End Arkansas has percent enrolled in public preschool in the intermediate range of other places in the area at 59% of the total and is ranked in the middle of the group.

East End Arkansas Area Schools Charts

Figure 23 lists the schools in the area along with the school district and other information. Some of the Area Schools are: East End Elementary School, East End Intermediate School, Landmark Elementary School, Bates Elementary School, and Chicot Primary School. The next illustration in Figure 24 shows the total school enrollment for all grades at the school using NCES Common Core data. Looking at Enrollment for Area Schools we find that Mcclellan Magnet High School ranks the largest with a value of 903 enrolled students. The next largest values are for: Chicot Primary School (847), Wilbur D. Mills High School (747), Cloverdale Aerospace Tech Char (704), and Mabelvale Middle School (652). The difference between the highest value (Mcclellan Magnet High School) and the next highest (Chicot Primary School) is that the enrolled students is about is 6.6% larger.

Figure 25 show the ratio of the number of students to the number of teachers. Good measures are lower because they indicate less students for any one teacher to educate. Looking at Student to Teacher Ratio for Area Schools we find that Siatech High Charter ranks the largest with a value of 5.6 Student to Teacher Ratio. The next largest values are for: Mcclellan Magnet High School (10.9), Mabelvale Middle School (11.1), Covenant Keepers High (11.5), and Cloverdale Aerospace Tech Char (12.1). The difference between the lowest value (Siatech High Charter) and the next lowest (Mcclellan Magnet High School) is that the Student to Teacher Ratio is is about twice as large.
