Conway County Education Attainment Charts

This section of charts contains Education data using using the latest 2018 American Community Survey data. In the first chart, Figure 1 shows the number of people age 25 years or older who have graduated from high school or completed the GED or equivalent credential. Conway County illustrates it has 85% percent high school graduates or better which is the 3d most of all other counties in the area. The county with the highest percent high school graduates or better in the area is Faulkner County with a high school graduates of 91% measures 7.0% larger.

The number of people aged 25 years or older who have graduated from college with a Bachelor's degree is shown in Figure 2. Conway County shows it has 16% percent with a bachelors degree or higher which is the 5th in percent with a bachelors degree or higher out of 10 total in the area. The county with the highest percent with a bachelors degree or higher in the area is Pulaski County with a percent with a bachelors degree of 34% is about twice as large.

Figure 4 shows the percentage of people aged 25 years or older who either have no schooling or dropped out of school before completing high school. Conway County indicates it has 15% percent who dropped out of school which is the 5th in percent who dropped out of school out of 10 total in the area. The county with the highest percent who dropped out of school in the area is Perry County with a percent who dropped out of school of 17% measures 12.5% larger.

The chart in Figure 7 shows a high level classification of people with a Bachelors degree and their field of study. Conway County has the largest proportion of percent of people with a degree in a science or engineering related at 15.3% of the total and is ranked #1.

The next chart (Figure 8) shows a detailed frequency distribution of the bachelors degrees earned by residents aged 25 years and older. Conway County has the largest proportion of percent of people with a degree in Biological, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences at 10.7% of the total and is ranked #1.

Conway County School Enrollment Charts

The next charts look at public versus private higher education schools starting with Figure 18. Conway County Arkansas has the largest proportion of percent enrolled in a Public college at 97% of the total and is ranked #1.

The next chart in Figure 20 looks at the total number of students enrolled in each place shown. (Enrollment includes all students from preschool to graduate school.) Conway County indicates it has 4,429 Total population enrolled in school which is the 5th in Total population enrolled in school out of 10 total in the area. The county with the highest Total population enrolled in school in the area is Pulaski County with a Total population enrolled in school of 97,496 compares as substantially bigger. Comparing Total population enrolled in school to the United States average of 81,751,797, Conway County is only about 0.0% the size. Also, versus the state of Arkansas, Total population enrolled in school of 741,993, Conway County is only about 0.6% the size.

Conway County Area Schools Charts

Figure 23 lists the schools in the area along with the school district and other information. Some of the Area Schools are: Wonderview High School, Wonderview Elementary School, Morrilton Junior High School, Morrilton Intermediate School, and Morrilton Elementary School. The next illustration in Figure 24 shows the total school enrollment for all grades at the school using NCES Common Core data. Looking at Enrollment for Area Schools we find that Conway High West ranks the largest with a value of 2,039 enrolled students. The next largest values are for: Morrilton Sr. High School (640), Ruth Doyle Intermediate School (538), Morrilton Intermediate School (503), and Greenbrier Wooster Elementary (499). The difference between the highest value (Conway High West) and the next highest (Morrilton Sr. High School) is that the enrolled students is about is approximately 3.2 times bigger.

Figure 25 show the ratio of the number of students to the number of teachers. Good measures are lower because they indicate less students for any one teacher to educate. Looking at Student to Teacher Ratio for Area Schools we find that Wonderview High School ranks the largest with a value of 9.0 Student to Teacher Ratio. The next largest values are for: Nemo Vista Middle School (10.4), Nemo Vista High School (10.7), Atkins High School (11.2), and Atkins Middle School (11.2). The difference between the lowest value (Wonderview High School) and the next lowest (Nemo Vista Middle School) is that the Student to Teacher Ratio is measures 15.0% larger.
