Prairie Creek Arkansas Income Charts

This section shows the economic outlook and local economy using the most recent economic data from the 2018 Census Bureau. Starting with Figure 1 which shows the median earnings per worker. Prairie Creek indicates it has $57,587 median earnings which is more than all other placesin the area. Comparing median earnings to the United States average of $46,022, Prairie Creek is 25.1% larger. Also, benchmarked against the state of Arkansas, median earnings of $37,301, Prairie Creek is 54.4% larger.

In Figure 2 we see a more complete view of income which includes all members in a household using the median household income and it has $59,219 median income which is more than all other placesin the area. Comparing median income to the United States average of $57,652, Prairie Creek is only about 2.7% larger. Also, versus the state of Arkansas, median income of $43,813, Prairie Creek is 35.2% larger.

The next section examines a variety of different income statistics. In Figure 3 we see that it has the largest proportion of median earnings between $50,000 and $74,999 at 30.5% of the total and is ranked #1. Second, it has the largest proportion of median earnings between $75,000 and $99,999 at 5.8% of the total and is ranked #1. Also, it has the largest proportion of median earnings of $100,000 or more at 13.6% of the total and is ranked #1.

Figure 5 has the Average number of hours worked in a typical work week during the year, it has 39.5 average hours which is the 4th smallest average hours of all the other places in the area. The place with the highest average hours in the area is Avoca with an average hours of 40.9 is only about 3.5% larger. Dividing median annual worker earnings by the average number of hours worked in a year in Figure 6 shows that it has $28.04 average hourly earnings which is at the top of all other placesin the area. Comparing average hourly earnings to the United States average of $22.87, Prairie Creek compares as 22.6% larger. Also, measured against the state of Arkansas, average hourly earnings of $18.25, Prairie Creek is 53.6% larger.

Figure 7 examines the number of self employed people in the area based on the number of people who reported any self employment income. Prairie Creek illustrates it has 15.5% Self Employed which is the largest of all placesin the area.

Turning our attention to Figure 8, the median household income by age group, it has the largest proportion of Median Income-25 to 44 years at $96,875 of the total and is ranked #1. Second, it has Median Income-45 to 64 years less than most other places in the area at $62,639 of the total and is ranked 3d last in the group.

In terms of the source of where income comes from, in Figure 9 Prairie Creek has the largest proportion of investment and retirement income at 14.7% of the total and is ranked #1.

The next chart (Figure 11) shows the percentage of households that had retirement income over the last 12 months and it has 15.9% households with retirement income which is at the top of all other placesin the area.

In the next chart, Figure 12, the median family income is shown for families broken down by racial group and it has the largest proportion of Overall Family Income at $82,625 of the total and is ranked #1. Second, it has the largest proportion of White Family Income at $82,120 of the total and is ranked #1. Also, it has the largest proportion of American Indian Family Income at $110,337 of the total and is ranked #1.

Figure 13 shows the cost of living for a variety of cost components from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Prairie Creek indicates it has hightest cost of 101.8 for cost of housing.

Prairie Creek Arkansas Labor Force Charts

The next two charts look at very recent, monthly trended employment related performance using data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). The BLS tracks unemployment statistics for a large number of areas throughout the country on a month to month basis. However, not every location in the U.S. is tracked by the BLS so the chart will only show the closest location available (which may be the same location.) Figure 14 shows the monthly unemployment rate for the area as well as a comparison to the overall measure for the United States. It shows that from January 2010 to January 2019 the Monthly Unemployment Rate went from 7.5% to 3.2%. This represents a decrease in the Monthly Unemployment Rate of 57.3%. In Figure 15 the monthly labor force participation which are people actively looking for work are also defined as unemployed but do not include people who have given up looking for work. The participation level It illustrates that from March 2010 to March 2019 the Monthly Labor Force Participation went from 28,236 to 35,832. This represents an increase in the Monthly Labor Force Participation of 26.9%.

The next two charts look at the annual unemployment rate and is based on the American Community survey. Figure 16 shows Prairie Creek indicates it has 1.4% unemployment rate which is the 5th in unemployment rate out of 10 total in the area. The place with the highest unemployment rate in the area is Township 2, Benton County, Arkansas with a rate of 3.6% is approximately 2.6 times bigger. Figure 17 shows the labor force participation using the estimated percentage of people either working or actively looking for work. Prairie Creek shows it has 56.9% participation rate which is the 4th smallest participation rate of all the other places in the area.

The Components of Employment Status graph in Figure 18 shows the composition of the labor force broken down by employed, unemployed, and not in the labor force (but 16 years of age or older). Prairie Creek has the largest proportion of not in labor force at 43.1% of the total and is ranked #1.

The percentage of full-time workers are compared to the number of part-time workers in Figure 19. Prairie Creek reveals full time employees measures approximately 4.5 times bigger than part time employees.

The next employment related data item is shown in Figure 21 which is the percentage of families with only a single earner. Prairie Creek indicates it has 24.2% families with a single earner which is the 4th smallest families with a single earner of all the other places in the area. The place with the highest families with a single earner in the area is Township 5, Benton County, Arkansas with a single earners rate of 37.1% measures 53.7% larger. The percentage of families with no one working is depicted in Figure 22. Prairie Creek illustrates it has 20.4% families with no one working which is the largest of all placesin the area.

Prairie Creek Arkansas Poverty Charts

The next section details information about poverty in the area. In Figure 23 the total number of people earning less than the poverty level are shown. Prairie Creek indicates it has 183 total people earning less than the poverty level which is the 6th in total people earning less than the poverty level out of 10 total in the area. The place with the highest total people earning less than the poverty level in the area is Rogers with a total people earning less than the poverty level of 7,806 is very much bigger.

In Figure 24 the percentage of people earning less than the poverty level is shown and compared across the group of places. Prairie Creek indicates it has 8.5% percent of people earning less than the poverty level which is the 6th in percent of people earning less than the poverty level out of 10 total in the area. The place with the highest percent of people earning less than the poverty level in the area is Township 5, Benton County, Arkansas with a percent of people in poverty of 23.1% is approximately 2.7 times bigger.

In Figure 25 people who are in poverty are broken out by age group. Prairie Creek has the largest proportion of person in poverty 55 to 64 years at 28% of the total and is ranked #1. Second, it has the largest proportion of person in poverty 65+ years at 31% of the total and is ranked #1.

Figure 29 looks at only those people who make less than the poverty level of income and breaks down there employment status. We see that Prairie Creek has the largest proportion of people who are in poverty and not in Labor Force at 48.6% of the total and is ranked #1. Additionally, Figure 30 looks at the percentage of people who receive some form of public assistance including general assistance, temporary assistance or food stamps (i.e. SNAP.) We can see that Prairie Creek shows it has 6.2% households with public assistance which is the 6th in households with public assistance out of 10 total in the area. The place with the highest households with public assistance in the area is Township 3, Benton County, Arkansas with a households with public assistance of 10.1% is 64.1% larger.

Figure 31 shows the "Gini Index of Income Inequality" with a range from zero (perfect equality) to one (perfect inequality). Prairie Creek shows it has 46.4% the Gini Index which is the 2nd most of all the places in the area.

Prairie Creek Arkansas Work Commute Charts

Figure 32 shows a high level view of how people get to work (including the percent of people who work from home.) Prairie Creek has the largest proportion of people who work at home at 5% of the total and is ranked #1. Figure 33 shows a more detailed view of how people get to work for this location and shows Prairie Creek has the largest proportion of people who work at home at 5% of the total and is ranked #1.

In Figure 35 is shown a frequency distribution of the time that people leave for work. Prairie Creek has the largest proportion of people who leave for work between 12am to 5am at 9% of the total and is ranked #1. Second, it has the largest proportion of people who leave for work between 8am to 830am at 13% of the total and is ranked #1.

The next graph in Figure 36 shows the average number of minutes that it takes for people to commute to work. Prairie Creek has the largest proportion of people with commute time between 20 to 24 minutes at 25% of the total and is ranked #1. Second, it has the largest proportion of people with commute time between 25 to 29 minutes at 14% of the total and is ranked #1. Also, it has the largest proportion of people with commute time between 30 to 34 minutes at 16% of the total and is ranked #1. In addition, it has the largest proportion of people with commute time between 45 to 59 minutes at 6% of the total and is ranked #1. Furthermore, it has the largest proportion of people with commute time between 60 to 89 minutes at 4% of the total and is ranked #1.

The average commute time is shown in Figure 37. Prairie Creek illustrates it has 25 average commute time which is the largest of all placesin the area. Figure 38 shows the difference between male versus female commuting time and Prairie Creek illustrates average commute time in minutes for men is 29.1% larger than average commute time in minutes for women. Figure 40 shows the total number of vehicles available for transportation and Prairie Creek has the largest proportion of 4 vehicles available at 26% of the total and is ranked #1. Figure 41 shows the percentage of people who both work and live in the same city (town or place.) Prairie Creek indicates it has 9% people who both work and live in the same city which is the 6th in people who both work and live in the same city out of 10 total in the area. The place with the highest people who both work and live in the same city in the area is Township 5, Benton County, Arkansas with a people who both work and live in the same city of 58% is very much bigger. Comparing people who both work and live in the same city to the United States average of 42%, Prairie Creek is approximately a fifth the size. Also, in contrast to the state of Arkansas, people who both work and live in the same city of 51%, Prairie Creek is approximately a sixth the size.

Prairie Creek Arkansas Jobs Charts

The next to charts break out the median earnings for major job categories for men and women. Figure 46 shows the median earnings of men for the job categories. Prairie Creek shows it has hightest median earnings of $106,923 for Earnings-Computer, engineering, and science occupations. Similarly, Figure 47 shows the median earnings of women for the job categories and Prairie Creek illustrates it has hightest median earnings of $59,143 for Management, business, and financial occupations.

Prairie Creek Arkansas Self Employment Charts

Figure 49 shows the number of people who are self employed in incorporated businesses by industry. Prairie Creek indicates it has hightest entrepreneurs of 52% for self employed management, business, science, and arts businesses.

Similar to the last chart is Figure 50 which shows the number of people who are self employed but in more detailed industry categories. Prairie Creek shows it has hightest entrepreneurs of 30% for self employed in transportation, warehousing, and utilities.

In Figure 51 the average annual self employment income is shown. Prairie Creek shows it has $29,103 average annual self employment income which is the 5th in average annual self employment income out of 10 total in the area. The place with the highest average annual self employment income in the area is Rogers with an average annual self employment income of $41,787 is 43.6% larger. Comparing average annual self employment income to the United States average of $36,502, Prairie Creek measures approximately three-fourths the size. Also, compared with the state of Arkansas, average annual self employment income of $32,820, Prairie Creek is about 12.8% smaller.

Figure 52 shows the difference between the number of self employed men and self employed women. Prairie Creek shows total number of self-employed men is 9.1% larger than total number of self-employed women.
