Hon township Arkansas Income Charts

This section shows the economic outlook and local economy using the most recent economic data from the 2018 Census Bureau. Starting with Figure 1 which shows the median earnings per worker. Hon township shows it has $48,594 median earnings which is at the top of all other placesin the area. Comparing median earnings to the United States average of $46,022, Hon township is only about 5.6% larger. Also, in comparison with the state of Arkansas, median earnings of $37,301, Hon township measures 30.3% larger.

In Figure 2 we see a more complete view of income which includes all members in a household using the median household income and it has $46,493 median income which is the 3d most of all other places in the area. The city with the highest median income in the area is Lewis township with an income of $52,656 is 13.3% larger. Comparing median income to the United States average of $57,652, Hon township is about 24.0% smaller. Also, measured against the state of Arkansas, median income of $43,813, Hon township is 6.1% larger.

The next section examines a variety of different income statistics. In Figure 3 we see that it has the largest proportion of median earnings between $15,000 and $19,999 at 33.6% of the total and is ranked #1. Second, it has the largest proportion of median earnings of $100,000 or more at 8.4% of the total and is ranked #1.

Figure 5 has the Average number of hours worked in a typical work week during the year, it has 49.1 average hours which is at the top of all other placesin the area. Dividing median annual worker earnings by the average number of hours worked in a year in Figure 6 shows that it has $19.03 average hourly earnings which is ranked #1 of all placesin the area. Comparing average hourly earnings to the United States average of $22.87, Hon township is about 20.2% smaller. Also, measured against the state of Arkansas, average hourly earnings of $18.25, Hon township is only about 4.3% larger.

Figure 7 examines the number of self employed people in the area based on the number of people who reported any self employment income. Hon township indicates it has 58.1% Self Employed which is the highest of all placesin the area.

Turning our attention to Figure 8, the median household income by age group, it has the largest proportion of Median Income-25 to 44 years at $103,750 of the total and is ranked #1. Second, it has Median Income-45 to 64 years in the middle of other places in the area at $45,521 of the total and is ranked in the middle of the group.

In terms of the source of where income comes from, in Figure 9 Hon township has the largest proportion of self employment income at 23.5% of the total and is ranked #1.

The next chart (Figure 11) shows the percentage of households that had retirement income over the last 12 months and it has 48.4% households with retirement income which is more than all other placesin the area.

Figure 13 shows the cost of living for a variety of cost components from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Hon township shows it has hightest cost of 92.5 for Cost of grocery items.

Hon township Arkansas Labor Force Charts

The next two charts look at very recent, monthly trended employment related performance using data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). The BLS tracks unemployment statistics for a large number of areas throughout the country on a month to month basis. However, not every location in the U.S. is tracked by the BLS so the chart will only show the closest location available (which may be the same location.) Figure 14 shows the monthly unemployment rate for the area as well as a comparison to the overall measure for the United States. It shows that from January 2010 to January 2019 the Monthly Unemployment Rate went from 8.9% to 4.0%. This represents a decrease in the Monthly Unemployment Rate of 55.1%. In Figure 15 the monthly labor force participation which are people actively looking for work are also defined as unemployed but do not include people who have given up looking for work. The participation level It shows that from March 2010 to March 2019 the Monthly Labor Force Participation went from 40,885 to 39,368. This represents a decrease in the Monthly Labor Force Participation of 3.7%. Figure 17 shows the labor force participation using the estimated percentage of people either working or actively looking for work. Hon township reveals it has 32.4% participation rate which is the 6th in participation rate out of 10 total in the area.

The percentage of full-time workers are compared to the number of part-time workers in Figure 19. Hon township illustrates full time employees is very much bigger than part time employees.

The next employment related data item is shown in Figure 21 which is the percentage of families with only a single earner. Hon township shows it has 80.3% families with a single earner which is the highest of all placesin the area.

Hon township Arkansas Poverty Charts

The next section details information about poverty in the area. In Figure 23 the total number of people earning less than the poverty level are shown. Hon township indicates it has 26 total people earning less than the poverty level which is the 6th in total people earning less than the poverty level out of 10 total in the area. The city with the highest total people earning less than the poverty level in the area is Hickman township with a total people earning less than the poverty level of 1,214 measures substantially bigger.

In Figure 24 the percentage of people earning less than the poverty level is shown and compared across the group of places. Hon township reveals it has 9.2% percent of people earning less than the poverty level which is the 6th in percent of people earning less than the poverty level out of 10 total in the area. The city with the highest percent of people earning less than the poverty level in the area is Cauthron township, Scott County, Arkansas with a percent of people in poverty of 38.1% is approximately 4.1 times bigger.

In Figure 25 people who are in poverty are broken out by age group. Hon township has the largest proportion of person in poverty 55 to 64 years at 100% of the total and is ranked #1.

The next chart looks at the percentage of people in poverty based on their education level in Figure 28 marriage status. Hon township has the largest proportion of less than highschool in poverty at 100% of the total and is ranked #1. Figure 29 looks at only those people who make less than the poverty level of income and breaks down there employment status. We see that Hon township has the largest proportion of people who are in poverty and employed at 53.8% of the total and is ranked #1. Additionally, Figure 30 looks at the percentage of people who receive some form of public assistance including general assistance, temporary assistance or food stamps (i.e. SNAP.) We can see that Hon township indicates it has 48.4% households with public assistance which is is the uppermost of the placesin the area.

Figure 31 shows the "Gini Index of Income Inequality" with a range from zero (perfect equality) to one (perfect inequality). Hon township indicates it has 29.2% the Gini Index which is the 6th in the Gini Index out of 10 total in the area.

Figure 32 shows a high level view of how people get to work (including the percent of people who work from home.) Hon township has the largest proportion of people who drive a car or motorcycle to work at 100% of the total and is ranked #1. Figure 33 shows a more detailed view of how people get to work for this location and shows Hon township has the largest proportion of people who drove alone at 100% of the total and is ranked #1.

In Figure 35 is shown a frequency distribution of the time that people leave for work. Hon township has the largest proportion of people who leave for work between 530 am to 6am at 24% of the total and is ranked #1. Second, it has the largest proportion of people who leave for work between 630 am to 7am at 13% of the total and is ranked #1. Also, it has the largest proportion of people who leave for work between 7am to 730am at 39% of the total and is ranked #1.

The next graph in Figure 36 shows the average number of minutes that it takes for people to commute to work. Hon township has the largest proportion of people with commute time between 60 to 89 minutes at 13% of the total and is ranked #1.

Figure 40 shows the total number of vehicles available for transportation and Hon township has 1 vehicle available less than most other places in the area at 32% of the total and is ranked 3d last in the group. Second, it has the largest proportion of 4 vehicles available at 24% of the total and is ranked #1.

Similarly, Figure 47 shows the median earnings of women for the job categories and Hon township illustrates it has hightest median earnings of $61,250 for Earnings-Healthcare practitioners and tech occupations.

Hon township reveals it has $18,448 average annual self employment income which is the 5th in average annual self employment income out of 10 total in the area. The city with the highest average annual self employment income in the area is Lewis township with an average annual self employment income of $85,437 measures approximately 4.6 times bigger. Comparing average annual self employment income to the United States average of $36,502, Hon township measures approximately half the size. Also, benchmarked against the state of Arkansas, average annual self employment income of $32,820, Hon township is approximately half the size.
