Dayton township Arkansas Income Charts

This section shows the economic outlook and local economy using the most recent economic data from the 2018 Census Bureau. Starting with Figure 1 which shows the median earnings per worker. Dayton township illustrates it has $24,060 median earnings which is the 4th smallest median earnings of all the other places in the area. The city with the highest median earnings in the area is Prairie township, Sebastian County, Arkansas with an earnings of $39,242 is 63.1% larger. Comparing median earnings to the United States average of $46,022, Dayton township is approximately half the size. Also, measured against the state of Arkansas, median earnings of $37,301, Dayton township measures approximately three-fourths the size.

The next section examines a variety of different income statistics. In Figure 3 we see that has median earnings of less than $10,000 in the center of other places in the area at 21.2% of the total and is ranked in the middle of the group. Second, it has the largest proportion of median earnings between $75,000 and $99,999 at 5.6% of the total and is ranked #1. Also, it has the largest proportion of median earnings of $100,000 or more at 10.1% of the total and is ranked #1.

Figure 5 has the Average number of hours worked in a typical work week during the year, it has 43.2 average hours which is the 2nd most of all the places in the area. The city with the highest average hours in the area is White Oak township, Sebastian County, Arkansas with an average hours of 46.6 is 7.9% larger. Dividing median annual worker earnings by the average number of hours worked in a year in Figure 6 shows that it has $10.71 average hourly earnings which is the 4th smallest average hourly earnings of all the other places in the area. The city with the highest average hourly earnings in the area is Prairie township, Sebastian County, Arkansas with an average hourly earnings of $18.73 compares as 74.8% larger. Comparing average hourly earnings to the United States average of $22.87, Dayton township compares as approximately half the size. Also, compared to the state of Arkansas, average hourly earnings of $18.25, Dayton township measures approximately half the size.

Figure 7 examines the number of self employed people in the area based on the number of people who reported any self employment income. Dayton township indicates it has 4.7% Self Employed which is the 4th smallest Self Employed of all the other places in the area. The city with the highest Self Employed in the area is White Oak township, Sebastian County, Arkansas with a Self Employed of 51.1% is very much bigger.

Turning our attention to Figure 8, the median household income by age group, has Median Income-25 to 44 years in the mid range of other places in the area at $41,058 of the total and is ranked in the middle of the group. Second, it has the largest proportion of Median Income-45 to 64 years at $118,151 of the total and is ranked #1.

In terms of the source of where income comes from, in Figure 9 Dayton township has the largest proportion of income from wages at 88.5% of the total and is ranked #1.

The next chart (Figure 11) shows the percentage of households that had retirement income over the last 12 months and it has 28.8% households with retirement income which is the 2nd most of all the places in the area. The city with the highest households with retirement income in the area is Prairie township, Sebastian County, Arkansas with a households with retirement income of 36.8% measures 27.9% larger.

In the next chart, Figure 12, the median family income is shown for families broken down by racial group and it has the largest proportion of Overall Family Income at $97,250 of the total and is ranked #1. Second, it has the largest proportion of White Family Income at $97,250 of the total and is ranked #1.

Figure 13 shows the cost of living for a variety of cost components from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Dayton township points out it has hightest cost of 92.5 for Cost of grocery items.

Dayton township Arkansas Labor Force Charts

The next two charts look at very recent, monthly trended employment related performance using data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). The BLS tracks unemployment statistics for a large number of areas throughout the country on a month to month basis. However, not every location in the U.S. is tracked by the BLS so the chart will only show the closest location available (which may be the same location.) Figure 14 shows the monthly unemployment rate for the area as well as a comparison to the overall measure for the United States. It indicates that from January 2010 to January 2019 the Monthly Unemployment Rate went from 8.9% to 4.0%. This represents a decrease in the Monthly Unemployment Rate of 55.1%. In Figure 15 the monthly labor force participation which are people actively looking for work are also defined as unemployed but do not include people who have given up looking for work. The participation level It indicates that from March 2010 to March 2019 the Monthly Labor Force Participation went from 40,885 to 39,368. This represents a decrease in the Monthly Labor Force Participation of 3.7%.

The next two charts look at the annual unemployment rate and is based on the American Community survey. Figure 16 shows Dayton township demonstrates it has 2.7% unemployment rate which is the 4th in unemployment rate out of 10 total in the area. The city with the highest unemployment rate in the area is Lewis township with a rate of 6.8% is approximately 2.5 times bigger. Figure 17 shows the labor force participation using the estimated percentage of people either working or actively looking for work. Dayton township illustrates it has 79.6% participation rate which is more than all other placesin the area.

The Components of Employment Status graph in Figure 18 shows the composition of the labor force broken down by employed, unemployed, and not in the labor force (but 16 years of age or older). Dayton township has the largest proportion of employed at 76.9% of the total and is ranked #1.

The percentage of full-time workers are compared to the number of part-time workers in Figure 19. Dayton township reveals full time employees is approximately 3.2 times bigger than part time employees. The percentage of families with no one working is depicted in Figure 22. Dayton township shows it has 12.7% families with no one working which is the 6th in families with no one working out of 10 total in the area. The city with the highest families with no one working in the area is Huntington with a families with no worker of 44.1% is approximately 3.5 times bigger.

The next section details information about poverty in the area. In Figure 23 the total number of people earning less than the poverty level are shown. Dayton township reveals it has 137 total people earning less than the poverty level which is the 5th in total people earning less than the poverty level out of 10 total in the area. The city with the highest total people earning less than the poverty level in the area is Mansfield with a total people earning less than the poverty level of 340 is approximately 2.5 times bigger.

In Figure 24 the percentage of people earning less than the poverty level is shown and compared across the group of places. Dayton township shows it has 12.1% percent of people earning less than the poverty level which is the 4th in percent of people earning less than the poverty level out of 10 total in the area. The city with the highest percent of people earning less than the poverty level in the area is Huntington with a percent of people in poverty of 34.5% is approximately 2.9 times bigger.

In Figure 25 people who are in poverty are broken out by age group. Dayton township has the largest proportion of person in poverty 18 to 34 years at 23% of the total and is ranked #1. Second, it has the largest proportion of person in poverty 65+ years at 15% of the total and is ranked #1.

The next chart looks at the percentage of people in poverty based on their education level in Figure 28 marriage status. Dayton township has the largest proportion of college graduate and in poverty at 45% of the total and is ranked #1. Figure 29 looks at only those people who make less than the poverty level of income and breaks down there employment status. We see that Dayton township has the largest proportion of people who are in poverty and employed at 23.4% of the total and is ranked #1. Second, it has the largest proportion of people who are in poverty and unemployed at 19.7% of the total and is ranked #1. Also, it has the largest proportion of people who are in poverty and not in Labor Force at 27.0% of the total and is ranked #1. Additionally, Figure 30 looks at the percentage of people who receive some form of public assistance including general assistance, temporary assistance or food stamps (i.e. SNAP.) We can see that Dayton township shows it has 16.1% households with public assistance which is the 2nd most of all the places in the area. The city with the highest households with public assistance in the area is Mansfield with a households with public assistance of 22.0% is 37.0% larger.

Figure 31 shows the "Gini Index of Income Inequality" with a range from zero (perfect equality) to one (perfect inequality). Dayton township shows it has 38.2% the Gini Index which is the 4th in the Gini Index out of 10 total in the area.

Dayton township Arkansas Work Commute Charts

In Figure 35 is shown a frequency distribution of the time that people leave for work. Dayton township has the largest proportion of people who leave for work between 530 am to 6am at 13% of the total and is ranked #1. Second, it has the largest proportion of people who leave for work between 830 am to 9am at 9% of the total and is ranked #1. Also, it has the largest proportion of people who leave for work between 10am to 11am at 8% of the total and is ranked #1. In addition, it has the largest proportion of people who leave for work between 12noon to 4pm at 12% of the total and is ranked #1.

The next graph in Figure 36 shows the average number of minutes that it takes for people to commute to work. Dayton township has the largest proportion of people with commute time between 15 to 19 minutes at 26% of the total and is ranked #1. Second, it has the largest proportion of people with commute time between 30 to 34 minutes at 26% of the total and is ranked #1. Also, it has the largest proportion of people with commute time between 40 to 44 minutes at 9% of the total and is ranked #1.

The average commute time is shown in Figure 37. Dayton township illustrates it has 29 average commute time which is the 3d most of all other places in the area. Figure 38 shows the difference between male versus female commuting time and Dayton township shows average commute time in minutes for men measures 27.0% larger than average commute time in minutes for women. Figure 40 shows the total number of vehicles available for transportation and Dayton township has the largest proportion of No vehicle available at 2% of the total and is ranked #1. Second, it has the largest proportion of 4 vehicles available at 19% of the total and is ranked #1. Also, it has the largest proportion of 5 or more vehicles available at 35% of the total and is ranked #1.

The next to charts break out the median earnings for major job categories for men and women. Figure 46 shows the median earnings of men for the job categories. Dayton township illustrates it has hightest median earnings of $50,000 for Earnings-Sales and office occupations.

Figure 49 shows the number of people who are self employed in incorporated businesses by industry. Dayton township illustrates it has hightest entrepreneurs of 100% for self employed in natural resources, construction, and maintenance businesses.

Similar to the last chart is Figure 50 which shows the number of people who are self employed but in more detailed industry categories. Dayton township illustrates it has hightest entrepreneurs of 100% for self employed in construction.

Figure 52 shows the difference between the number of self employed men and self employed women. Dayton township shows total number of self-employed men measures approximately 2.8 times bigger than total number of self-employed women.
