Crosby township Arkansas Income Charts

This section shows the economic outlook and local economy using the most recent economic data from the 2018 Census Bureau. Starting with Figure 1 which shows the median earnings per worker. Crosby township shows it has $19,323 median earnings which is the 6th in median earnings out of 10 total in the area. The city with the highest median earnings in the area is Mount Pisgah township with an earnings of $51,000 measures approximately 2.6 times bigger. Comparing median earnings to the United States average of $46,022, Crosby township is approximately half the size. Also, measured against the state of Arkansas, median earnings of $37,301, Crosby township is approximately half the size.

In Figure 2 we see a more complete view of income which includes all members in a household using the median household income and it has $45,200 median income which is the 4th in median income out of 10 total in the area. The city with the highest median income in the area is Des Arc township, White County, Arkansas with an income of $53,173 measures 17.6% larger. Comparing median income to the United States average of $57,652, Crosby township is approximately three-fourths the size. The next section examines a variety of different income statistics. In Figure 3 we see that it has the largest proportion of median earnings between $15,000 and $19,999 at 41.1% of the total and is ranked #1. Second, it has the largest proportion of median earnings of $100,000 or more at 13.0% of the total and is ranked #1.

Figure 5 has the Average number of hours worked in a typical work week during the year, it has 40.2 average hours which is the 2nd most of all the places in the area. The city with the highest average hours in the area is Des Arc township, White County, Arkansas with an average hours of 44.1 compares as 9.7% larger. Dividing median annual worker earnings by the average number of hours worked in a year in Figure 6 shows that it has $9.24 average hourly earnings which is the 5th in average hourly earnings out of 10 total in the area. The city with the highest average hourly earnings in the area is Gray township, White County, Arkansas with an average hourly earnings of $19.58 measures about twice as large. Comparing average hourly earnings to the United States average of $22.87, Crosby township is approximately half the size. Also, compared to the state of Arkansas, average hourly earnings of $18.25, Crosby township compares as approximately half the size.

Turning our attention to Figure 8, the median household income by age group, has Median Income-45 to 64 years less than most other places in the area at $45,427 of the total and is ranked 3d last in the group.

In terms of the source of where income comes from, in Figure 9 Crosby township has the largest proportion of income from wages at 86.6% of the total and is ranked #1.

The next chart (Figure 11) shows the percentage of households that had retirement income over the last 12 months and it has 5.1% households with retirement income which is the 5th in households with retirement income out of 10 total in the area. The city with the highest households with retirement income in the area is Marion township, White County, Arkansas with a households with retirement income of 28.6% measures very much bigger.

In the next chart, Figure 12, the median family income is shown for families broken down by racial group and has Overall Family Income in the middle of other places in the area at $46,800 of the total and is ranked in the middle of the group. Figure 13 shows the cost of living for a variety of cost components from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Crosby township indicates it has hightest cost of 97.9 for Cost of grocery items.

The next two charts look at very recent, monthly trended employment related performance using data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). The BLS tracks unemployment statistics for a large number of areas throughout the country on a month to month basis. However, not every location in the U.S. is tracked by the BLS so the chart will only show the closest location available (which may be the same location.) Figure 14 shows the monthly unemployment rate for the area as well as a comparison to the overall measure for the United States. It indicates that from January 2011 to January 2019 the Monthly Unemployment Rate went from 7.3% to 3.7%. This represents a decrease in the Monthly Unemployment Rate of 49.3%. In Figure 15 the monthly labor force participation which are people actively looking for work are also defined as unemployed but do not include people who have given up looking for work. The participation level It illustrates that from March 2011 to September 2018 the Monthly Labor Force Participation went from 11,423 to 11,970. This represents an increase in the Monthly Labor Force Participation of 4.8%. Figure 17 shows the labor force participation using the estimated percentage of people either working or actively looking for work. Crosby township illustrates it has 51.8% participation rate which is the 4th in participation rate out of 10 total in the area.

The next employment related data item is shown in Figure 21 which is the percentage of families with only a single earner. Crosby township indicates it has 60.0% families with a single earner which is the highest of all placesin the area. The percentage of families with no one working is depicted in Figure 22. Crosby township indicates it has 16.4% families with no one working which is the 4th in families with no one working out of 10 total in the area. The city with the highest families with no one working in the area is Letona with a families with no worker of 29.4% is 79.0% larger.

The next section details information about poverty in the area. In Figure 23 the total number of people earning less than the poverty level are shown. Crosby township shows it has 84 total people earning less than the poverty level which is the 3d most of all other places in the area. The city with the highest total people earning less than the poverty level in the area is Gray township, White County, Arkansas with a total people earning less than the poverty level of 4,129 is substantially bigger.

In Figure 24 the percentage of people earning less than the poverty level is shown and compared across the group of places. Crosby township indicates it has 12.3% percent of people earning less than the poverty level which is the 5th in percent of people earning less than the poverty level out of 10 total in the area. The city with the highest percent of people earning less than the poverty level in the area is Letona with a percent of people in poverty of 37.1% is approximately 3.0 times bigger.

In Figure 25 people who are in poverty are broken out by age group. Crosby township has the largest proportion of person in poverty 12 to 17 years at 29% of the total and is ranked #1. Second, it has the largest proportion of person in poverty 65+ years at 40% of the total and is ranked #1.

Figure 27 shows key poverty statistics for groups based on marriage status. Crosby township has the largest proportion of Unmarried with children and in poverty at 100% of the total and is ranked #1. Second, it has the largest proportion of Unmarried Male with children and in poverty at 100% of the total and is ranked #1. Additionally, Figure 30 looks at the percentage of people who receive some form of public assistance including general assistance, temporary assistance or food stamps (i.e. SNAP.) We can see that Crosby township indicates it has 4.7% households with public assistance which is the 5th in households with public assistance out of 10 total in the area. The city with the highest households with public assistance in the area is Letona with a households with public assistance of 27.7% is substantially bigger.

Figure 31 shows the "Gini Index of Income Inequality" with a range from zero (perfect equality) to one (perfect inequality). Crosby township shows it has 45.7% the Gini Index which is the 3d most of all other places in the area.

Crosby township Arkansas Work Commute Charts

In Figure 35 is shown a frequency distribution of the time that people leave for work. Crosby township has the largest proportion of people who leave for work between 5am to 530am at 20% of the total and is ranked #1. Second, it has the largest proportion of people who leave for work between 530 am to 6am at 20% of the total and is ranked #1. Also, it has the largest proportion of people who leave for work between 10am to 11am at 6% of the total and is ranked #1. In addition, it has the largest proportion of people who leave for work between 12noon to 4pm at 22% of the total and is ranked #1.

The next graph in Figure 36 shows the average number of minutes that it takes for people to commute to work. Crosby township has people with commute time between 15 to 19 minutes in the center of other places in the area at 26% of the total and is ranked in the middle of the group.

The average commute time is shown in Figure 37. Crosby township illustrates it has 23 average commute time which is the 4th in average commute time out of 10 total in the area. Figure 38 shows the difference between male versus female commuting time and Crosby township shows average commute time in minutes for men is approximately three-fourths the size than average commute time in minutes for women. Figure 40 shows the total number of vehicles available for transportation and Crosby township has the largest proportion of 3 vehicles available at 57% of the total and is ranked #1.
